What is a chiropractic adjustment?
Most of us know that chiropractors treat the spine. They adjust the spine to realign the joints and ease back pain. They are also expert at realigning and adjust other parts of the body too.
Chiropractic adjustments aren’t usually painful and any discomfort is very short lived. Treatment is adjusted to suit your specific treatment needs, and gentle options such as the Activator Method and McTimoney technique are available.

What to expect

Check-in
We ask how you have been since your last visit and whether anything has changed in your health.
- 02
Warm-up
Optionally, 15 minutes using the 3D massage chair or back mobiliser before treatment to warm up the muscles and release tension.
- 03
Adjustment
Your chiropractor explains what they plan to do, then adjusts the spine or other joints using the technique that suits you.
- 04
Advice
Easy stretches to do at home, and advice on when to come back.
After your adjustment
Mild soreness for a day or two is the most common after-effect. Stay active and keep up your stretches, and let us know at your next visit how you felt.
